CORPUS CHRISTI — Texas ranks third in the country in bicycle fatalities with 53 deaths as of the last compilation of data in 2008, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The American Academy of Pediatrics reports that 23,000 children receive head injuries each year in the country from bicycle accidents. That figure doesn’t include injuries to the face, just the head. Bicycle injuries also continue to be the leading…
