There was no where to hide on today’s ride. When I started the temperature was 96 degrees with the heat index at 106. Adding to my riding pleasure was a 14 mph south wind with gusts to 24 mph. I did not really notice the wind until I heading back across Lake Houston on FM1960. Out in the middle of the lake there no trees or buildings to break the wind so at times I was pedaling hard but only going 14 mph. Only one other biker was out so the weather must have deterred the rest.

The ride was 24.5 miles at an average speed of 15.0 mph. I had a max speed of 213 mph and the average cadence was 79.7 RPM. July miles are now 260.13 and the year to date miles are 3099.21.
