Competitive cyclist on fast track to success

Spencer Virtue is never happier than when he’s spinning his wheels.
Since taking up competitive cycling a few years ago, the 14-year-old has been on a fast track to success.
He’s in Frisco, Texas, this week for the 2011 U.S. Junior Track nationals where the competition starts Thursday and rolls through Sunday. …More
Olympian Whitehead dies in Texas

USA Cycling confirmed today the death of Mark Whitehead, a member of the USA’s Olympic track cycling team in 1984. He was 50 years old.
Whitehead died while attending the USA Cycling junior track national championships in Texas, but there were no details given on the cause of his death. …More
