Texas Bicycling Blog and News Roundup for May 14th
Today my wife and I attended the Houston Area Special Olympics Cycling competition. The site was Memorial Park in Houston. Competition began at 8:00 AM and continued until after 3:00 PM. Some of the vents include 10K race, 10K time trial, 1K race, 500m race, 25K race, 5K race and a 15K race. Most athletes competed in more than one event. My niece competed in the 1K and 5K race. She won a gold medal in the 1K and a silver in the 5K. The gallery below shows some of the athletes.
