Up until the drive home the weather looked like it would be scorching until the sun went down. Then a stray storm came on the scene and the temperature dropped from 98 to 85 and the clouds got thick. Driving home I went through some rain but when I neared home the rain left and the roads were dry. But the lower temperature stayed. Even with the storm nearby the wind was calm so riding was no problem. With the heavy clouds the daylight was shortened so I did not get to ride quite as far as I had planned coming in just over 22 miles. No other riders crossed my path but numerous joggers were out. I’m still preparing for the HH100 on Saturday.
Today’s ride statistics:
- miles 22.19
- riding time 1:31:57
- average pace 4:09 min/mile
- average speed 14.5 mph
- max speed 22.4 mph
- average cadence 77.1 rpm
- max cadence 104 rpm
- climb 145 ft., descend 151 ft., max elevation 76 ft.
- August miles 433.23
- YTD miles 3541.70
