Heat Warning Again – August 5th Bike Ride

Another day with heat index warnings. Yesterday there a couple of locations that had heat index of 110 degrees. There was a possibility of 107 degree heat index in the Houston area but with the cloud cover this may not have happened. During my evening bike ride I did not notice extreme heat but it was warm at 91 degrees when I left for the ride. The sky was overcast and the wind has picked up to 14 mph from the SSE, the normal for our area.
I did not spot any other riders so they must have been smart and stayed inside. The next two days I will not be riding so maybe by Sunday the heat will have moderated.
The broken tooth has a temporary cap on it so I am back in business and will not have to worry about eating.
