A Break in the Rain – July 28th Bike Ride
According to the weatherman the rain should be moving out for the next few days. I had my doubts today about getting to ride this evening but when I got home from work the streets were dry enough and the clouds broken enough to go ride. With all of the rain the temperature was modest at 86 degrees but the humidity is way up there at 79%. Mostly cloudy skies and a mild 7 mph ESE breeze did make much of an impact on the ride. No other riders were spotted. I still have an opportunity to make 3,100 miles for the year by the 31st.
Today’s ride statistics:
- miles = 23.12
- riding time = 1:32:06
- average pace = 3:59 min/mile
- average speed = 15.1 mph
- max speed = 21.1 mph
- average cadence = 79.8 rpm
- max cadence = 107 rpm
- climb 183 ft., descend 196 ft., max elevation 98 ft.
- July miles 465.01
- YTD miles 3031.67
