6 Days In A Row – June 9th Bike Ride
Normally I do not ride so days in a row but this week has presented the opportunity to ride so I took it. tomorrow will be the last day in the streak. A rest day is in order. June is prime time for daylight in the evening; the days are still getting longer until the first day of Summer later in the month. My goal is to get over 2700 miles for the year by the end of June.
Last Saturday evening we finally got to pick ripe blueberries. 7 pounds to be exact. The bushes were loaded and the berries were sweet. I could go again this weekend. Don’t know if I can convince my wife though.
Today’s weather was drier than yesterday, no monsoon rain around here but the counties to north of us got a pounding. This evening’s temperature was 88 degrees, mostly cloudy, and a stiff 13 mph SSE wind. The wind reminded me that a rest day is needed. No power going into the wind.
Today’s ride statistics:

- average pace = 4:04 min/mile
