Sunscreen and Shoe Inserts, May 19th Bike Ride
I talked to person from work today. He had an operation to remove a cancerous area from his face near his right eye. The doctor said that prolonged exposure to sun probably caused or encouraged this to happen. The doctor said he should be using sunscreen whenever he is outdoors. I recommended the one I use, Neutrogen Ultra Sheer with a SPF of 45 or 55. (No commercial here). This sunscreen survives the moisture you crate when you exercise.
Next I tried some sample shoe inserts to relieve some pain in my left foot. I cut them too short but I decided to use them anyway. These helped relieve the pain and I will now get some that fit the whole bottom of the shoe.
Partly cloudy skies, 88 degrees and a solid breeze at 13 mph from the SE but with a rather low humidity (for Houston) made this evening’s ride enjoyable and quick.
