Southern tier ride: Day 21: The first leg of Texas completed!

We have now completed the first leg of our traverse of Texas and are taking a rest day in Del Rio….which I haven’t even had a chance to explore yet. The next leg includes the “hill country of Texas” and the weather is threatening a week of thunderstorms, so Gary and I will be splitting up. There is a flatter route through San Antonio that will be quicker and suits Gary’s agenda better. I will head for the hills and find out how well my tent really works!
