Four Riders Hammering by Me, April 20th Bike Ride
Yesterday was a combination rest day and “let it warm up some” day. It was good to be back on the road today. The skies cleared this afternoon and the temperature made it to 74 degrees. Wind was not a factor being only 4 mph from the north. Around the 18 mile mark I was passed by lean and mean bikers hammering on their way back home. I was able to stay near them for about 200 yards up a slight hill. From then on they disappeared in the distance. Great ride home from there. Glad I wore two jerseys though as the sun went down.
Today’s ride statistics:
- miles = 24.41
- riding time = 1:37:31
- average pace = 4:00 min/mile
- average speed = 15.0 mph
- max speed = 21.5 mph
- average cadence = 80.2 rpm
- max cadence = 106 rpm
- climb 120 ft., descend 118 ft.
- April miles 373.11
- YTD miles 1259.86
