Today Was a Recovery Ride In Leg Warmers
The temperature was there but the wind more than made up for it. Wind was NNW at 23 mph with gusts to 29 mph. The temperature was 72 degrees when I got back but the wind chill had to be in the 50’s. I am glad I decided to wear leg warmers and my wind jacket. After yesterday’s ride my legs were sore and it as all I could do to turn north and ride into the wind at a blistering 10 to 12 mph. I intentionally limited my gearing and I was glad. If you look at the speed chart below you will notice at the 10 mile mark my direction turned back towards home which meant mainly northerly riding. The Mercier Serpens was carrying me at times as I tried to coast whenever possible.
Today’s ride statistics:

- max cadence = 108 (not sure where this happened.)
- climb = 440 ft. , descend = 375 ft.
