Mountain biking is a hobby to some, but it may become a way of life for William Miller.

At Thanksgiving, the Lake Jackson resident told his wife, Madeleine, he wanted to bike from Inks Lake State Park near Marble Falls to their son Aaron Barton’s home in North Richland Hills, near Fort Worth.

“She looked at me like, ‘You need to think about that,’” the 47-year-old Miller said. “She’s pretty open-minded, but she exercised the voice of reason. I came back but I had it in my mind I was going to do it. I had a plan for the whole 510 miles.” …
