Collin Classic – McKinney, TX
The 19th Collin Classic is a rural bicycle rally that will start and finish at the McKinney North High School on Saturday, June 12, 2010. The ride begins at 8:00am.
Packet Pick-Up and Registration on the day of the ride open at 6:30am.
Offering routes of 4, 15, 22, 34, 47 and 55 miles, this event will attract families, weekend warriors and avid cyclists to celebrate life in a day filled with fun.
Our 4 mile route is a flat loop, designed for the family with kids who are not ready for an open road ride – but want to see what a big bike rally is all about. All other routes will cross over US75 and ride out into the countryside of Northeastern Collin County.
Our 15, 22, 34, 47 and 55 mile routes are all single loop routes . We are travelling to the Northeast portion of Collin County, passing through Blue Ridge, Valdasta, Frognot, Climax, Altoga, Princeton and New Hope. While we have lost most of the smooth asphalt that we have enjoyed for the past 3 years, the pavement quality and scenery are still very enjoyable. Worried about missing out on the big hill at the finish of our old routes? Not to worry. We have plenty of rolling hills on our routes that will provide plenty of challenge.
