The Literacy Council of Fort Bend County is a non-profit organization established to end inter-generational cycles of illiteracy in Fort Bend County by improving adult literacy skills and generate community-wide literacy awareness. Programs include: Basic Literacy and English as a Second Language classes, GED preparation classes, Badges and Books, Job Readiness and the Literacy Hotline.
Whether you are an avid cycler or simply enjoying the exercise and local scenery, there is something for everyone at this event. Bike the Bend, presented for the 4th year in a row by Richmond Bone & Joint Clinic, provides a wonderful opportunity to get a workout, spend time with your family and benefit literacy efforts in your community!
Bike the Bend is a BP MS 150 recommended ride benefiting the Literacy Council of Fort Bend County (LCFBC) and begins at 8 a.m., starting and finishing at Foster High School, 4400 FM 723, Richmond, Texas. Registration forms are available at local Bike Shops, through active.com or on our website.
