Joe Mizereck, is now selling a safety yellow jersey online with a huge statement calling for 3 feet of passing space from drivers.

The battle for space between cyclists and motorists is intensifying–worldwide.  And the need for space has never been greater.  More must be done to educate motorists of the importance of sharing our roads and giving cyclists at least 3 feet of clearance when passing.

Currently, fourteen states* in the US have laws requiring motorists to give cyclists at least 3 feet of clearance when passing.  These “3 foot laws” are a good step in making our roads safer for cyclists.The challenge is educating motorists about the law and reminding them to follow the law.
