Dallas PD Anger Cyclists with White Rock Lake Ticketing

Many cyclists have complained about Dallas police’s enforcement of laws governing bicyclists at White Rock Lake.

Police said people on bicycles were getting lax with the rules of the road in the area. They have stepped up enforcement, issuing tickets to cyclists for not wearing helmets and even for running stop signs.

  1. Well, they are NOT issuing tickets for a lack of helmet,
    but they have suddenly decided to give tickets if you don’t fully stop at a stop sign.
    Of course, there are warning signs for the former and not the latter (???!!!).
    I’m giving up my old Huffy bike and will get my exercise indoors from now on because of all of this stupid selective random enforcement. I understand that they use common sense and decency without extraneous BS rules in Ft. Worth.

    What a concept!
