The Watopia Triple Fat Loops route is one I ride several times because the distance is not too long and the elevation gain is not too high. The cooler weather continued today moving the ride indoors. This was the ninth ride on the Triple Flat Loops. The distance was 21.36 miles with 515 feet elevation gain. There were 2 small KOM’s and two sprints. The name comes from the route going around three of Watopia’s flat routes. Before the ride I did a spin down on the Wahoo Kickr Core since I haven’t done one in awhile. My legs were good and the climbs weren’t hard enough to get out of the saddle. The photos above show some of the turns on the route.

GIBBONS, John “Jack” Edward went to his heavenly home far too early on Nov. 19, 2023, at the age of 36.
Jack was born on March 19, 1987, in Dallas to Mary Lou and David Gibbons. He was a curious and joyful child, qualities that followed him throughout his life. Jack’s sense of humor, generous nature and infectious, welcoming smile resulted in an extensive circle of friends from all facets of his life.
Jack’s light continues to shine through his adoring daughter Ann “Annie” Whittaker Gibbons, who shares her daddy’s curiosity and wide smile. Jack was a loving father to Annie, and he was determined to give her the world. A natural adventure seeker, Jack was sure that the biggest adventure of his life would be raising Annie with his devoted wife Sarah (Boynton) Gibbons. …
… An avid cyclist, Jack loved to be on the bike in nature, especially around White Rock Lake – or en route to a morning treat at Mustang Donuts. Jack said the miles on the bike were meditative and gave him time to pray. Even though Jack could make long rides look effortless, he encouraged everyone he knew to get on a bike and join him, no matter how much stronger he was as a cyclist. He was just happy to take in the fresh air and share his love of cycling with a new friend. We have no doubt that Jack is leading the Tuesday morning ride in Heaven, joyfully pulling new friends along.
Jack was sentimental and reflective. …
Today’s Zwift ride moved to London on the Greatest London Flat, not to be confused with the Greater London Flat, the Greater London Loop, or the Greatest London Loop. I didn’t remember or know there were so many similar named routes until I checked ZwiftInsider.com. According to Zwift I previously rode the Greatest London Flat but SportTracks didn’t show any rides. I reviewed the previous “London” rides in SportTracks and changed the names on some previous rides until seeing the similar names on ZwiftInsider.com. Then I looked at the “London” rides in Strava, corrected the changes I made and found 2 other rides on the Greatest London Flat route. The other 2 are longer distances because I rode events that were timed rather than just the route distance.
11-27-2023 SportTracks Rides History Zwift Greatest London Flat
I chose this route because it was relatively flat, 552 feet elevation gain according to the Zwift description, and not starting until 2:42 PM. There was some serious climbing though with 15% grades causing me to get out of the saddle and crawl up virtual road. The profile doesn’t show that gradient. My legs got a workout. Overall I got a Strava 3rd fastest time on Greatest London Flat (52:16).
