“Normal” Bike Ride, Local Legend Reclaimed
A “normal” bike ride on my Canyon Endurace CF bike over to FM2100 south of Huffman. I rolled out at 9:39 AM and it was already nearing 90 degrees. Thankfully the humidity was “only” 67% and I didn’t start sweating until around 3 miles into what turned out to be a 35.31 mile ride. After finishing at 12:20 PM I saw a notice from Strava that I regained the Local Legend on Lake Houston Bridge – EB (5:29). That one is hard to keep because of the many cyclists riding that segment. My 32 times over the last 90 days probably won’t last long. I’m not the fastest but most active for now. Today was the 11th ride on the Atascocita – Walden – Huffman route in 2024. The local legend segment is in other routes as well. My legs felt powerful today. I thank God for my health and safety while biking.
Weather: Start 88 degrees, humidity 67%, dew point 75.5, cloud cover 16%, wind W 6 mph; Finish 92 degrees, humidity 57%, dew point 74.6, partly cloudy, wind W 4 mph.
