July arrived marking half way through 2024. I rode north following my New Caney – Roman Forest Blvd – Oakhurst route. It began at 9:35 AM after I paused stage 3 of the TdF 4 hours and 35 minutes into the broadcast. I’m watching on Peacock. The heat of the day had not arrived with “only” 86 degrees as I set out on my Cervelo Caledonia bike. This was the 8th ride on this route but I varied the streets enough that Strava didn’t match any of those rides. My goal for July is 930 miles which equates to 30 miles every day. Today I put a few miles in the bank riding 35.04. This routes averages just over that so far this year. The pace wasn’t fast but steady. My legs felt good and the wind was under 10 mph but changed direction from the west to the northeast by the 12:20 PM finish. I thank God for my health and strength to ride and watching over me on the roads.
