April is in the rear view mirror and May is the focus now. I rode north on the Kingwood – SH 242 – Kingwood route for the first time since March 13, 2024. Since my last visit the construction at SH242 looks finished as far as I could see west from US59. I will explore this more on the next ride that direction. My goal for May is 749 miles or about 25 miles each day. I’m off to a good start riding 37.68 miles today. I saw another cyclist near the end of the ride on Tree Lane by Bear Branch Elementary School. I started at 11:11 AM and finished at 2:09 PM. Weather: Start 80 degrees, humidity 78%, dew point 72.5, 78% cloud cover, wind SE 9 mph gusts 13 mph; Finish 84 degrees, humidity 73%, dew point 74.7, 73% cloud cover, wind SE 14 mph gusts 19 mph.
