More Rear Tube Angst Before Heading North
It’s been over a month since I rode my Kingwood – FM1485 – Kingwood route, March 6th to be exact. Before riding today I replaced the tube in the rear tire on my Cervelo Caledonia bike. The old tube will not cooperate with my patching efforts so it won an all expense paid trip to the trash. With the tube out of the way I rolled out at 12:07 PM on the Cervelo. A solid feel from the rear tire was reassuring as I rode through Kingwood, Woodridge Forest, Brooklyn Trails to the northbound US59 frontage road. The weather was nice with lots of sun, a light breeze and low humidity. I stopped at Rosewood Cemetery to visit my wife’s grave after several weeks absence. My legs felt good as I recover from the mountains of Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park. I finished the ride at 2:47 PM.
I’m continuing to exchange emails and video with ICAN Cycling about the rear wheel on my Canyon Endurace. The CooSpo heart monitor works great, connects to the Bolt computer quickly, and vibrates when connecting.
