To qualify for nationals you must place top 3 in your age division in either a road race (20k and/or 40k) or time trial (5k and/or 10k). (40K Road Race) & approximately 11:00 am (20K Road Race) 12:30 pm (10K Time Trial) Immediately after 10K time trials (5K Time Trial) Pace Bend Park All participants must wear an ANSI or Snell approved helmet. Cyclists must report 30 minutes prior to start times. Numbers will be distributed at the event check-in. Chip Timing. This is a Travis County Park and below are their Cash Only fees which will be paid at the Senior Games registration desk.

SAN ANTONIO – People can safely walk, bike, run and play in the streets of downtown San Antonio when Síclovía returns this spring.
The 22nd Síclovía event from the YMCA of Greater San Antonio will take place from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on April 7, also World Health Day.
This year’s route will be on North St. Mary’s Street from Highway 281 to Brooklyn Avenue, which includes the newly repaved St. Mary’s Strip. The route will also include a portion of Augusta Street and Lexington Avenue. …

Mountain Biking at Flat Rock Ranch in Comfort, Texas

As I was planning my drive from Arizona to the Austin area of Texas to explore the mountain biking in Hill Country, I saw a network of spaghetti-like trails in a place called Comfort. After a little more digging, I realized that this place – Flat Rock Ranch – was actually a pretty big deal and I definitely needed to check it out.
Flat Rock Ranch is a privately owned piece of property (if you can call 13,000 acres a ‘piece’…) that has slowly been transformed into a destination for mountain bikers. With over 35 miles of trails and set in a stunning location, it’s a unique place that is well worth the visit.
