Dallas’ Newest Mountain Bike Trail is Open Near the White Rock Lake Spillway
By Tim Rogers | www.dmagazine.com
Dallas just got a new mountain bike park all thanks to the Loop, DORBA, and the Dallas Parks and Recreation Department. Let’s keep it to ourselves.
A new mountain bike trail opened today in East Dallas. Five miles of dirt track twist and turn through 50 wooded acres of the aptly named Creekside Park, which nestles up to White Rock Creek, about a mile south of the lake’s spillway. Day 24 – Marfa to Marithon, TX
Monday October 16, 2023, 57 miles (92 km) – Total so far: 1,215 miles (1,955 km) We must be getting to fall even in the south. It was a cold morning this morning. Probably about 44 degrees. Everyone was wearing about everything they had to stay warm. I think over the next few days, we will be dropping in elevation so that should help. At the time of writing this it is quite cold as well. The weather app says 54.
Had a nice day of riding today. Still riding through the Del Norte mountain ranges of Texas. We rode about 27 miles and went through the resort town of Alpine and then had another 30 or so miles after that. They did have a McDonald’s in Alpine, so had to stop and get some lunch there. I probably need to …
