Repair Week: Patio Door Trim, Refrigerator, Spring Creek Greenway Trail
This week is repair week. Yesterday the carpenter fixed trim around a patio door. Today the refrigerator repairman came to diagnose the problem with my refrigerator. Like the carpenter he arrive earlier than expected and quickly determined the problem leaving time for me to go on today’s bike ride. I thought my riding time would be shortened and planned on riding the Spring Creek Greenway to Jesse Jones Park. This gave me an opportunity to check on the repair work just west of mile marker 3.75. This was my first ride on the greenway this month. Usually I ride beyond Jesse Jones Park but this was the 7th ride to Jesse Jones Park dating back to April 2021. The typical distances ranged from 24 to today’s 31.36 miles. The greenway is closed but the sign says work ends 9/18/2023 but I imagine that is subject to weather. The video shows the excavator moving some dirt and patting dirt in place.
Starting at 11:41 AM on my Cervelo Caldonia the weather wasn’t as hot as last week thanks to mostly cloudy skies. When I finished at 2:22 PM the temperature was 91, not too hot. On the way back I rode the San Jacinto Bayou Greenway. Weather: Start 88 degrees, 54% humidity, dew point 69.0, mostly cloudy, wind W 10 mph; Finish 91 degrees, 53% humidity, dew point 71.6, mostly cloudy, wind NW 7.
