Riders from SignatureCare ER joined over 1500 participants to complete the eye-watering 80-mile bike rally in sweltering Paris, TX temperature.
Riders with SignatureCare Emergency Center recently braced sweltering triple-digit temperatures to complete the 80-mile 39th Annual Tour De Paris Bike Rally in Paris, TX.
Led by Dr. Steve Elsbecker, Medical Director for Greater Texas and Angel Cruz, SignatureCare ER Director of Nursing, the team from SignatureCare ER completed the bike rally in style.

More than half of residents say Houston is headed in the wrong direction

More than half of Houston’s residents think the city is headed in the wrong direction, according to new numbers from the Hobby School of Public Affairs at U-H.
More than half – 53% – say the city is headed in the wring direction. The remaining 47% say things are headed in the right direction.
“It’s primarily Republicans and Latinos and to lesser extent whites who believe it’s headed in the wrong direction,” Rice’s Mark Jones told KTRH.
The numbers also showed that 83% said crime should be the top priority for the next Mayor of Houston.
“There is strong consensus across the board on that,” Jones stated.

… Fifty-four percent of likely voters oppose, 34% strongly, the recent conversion by the city of Houston of motor vehicle lanes to dedicated bicycle lanes, a policy that is supported by 41%, 17% strongly.
Austin opens first-ever bike polo court

After more than a decade, the Austin Texas Bike Polo Social Club has an official court to play on.
The city of Austin celebrated the opening of the Metz Park Multi-Use Bike Polo Court on July 21. The court, located at 2407 Canterbury St., Austin, is the first bike polo court in Austin. The sport is similar to traditional polo, but played on bikes.
The court was installed by the city through the Austin Parks and Recreation Department in partnership with the ATXBPSC through the Neighborhood Partnering Program.
The ATXBPSC began working on a proposal for the plan in 2015, according to the city. Since 2009, the club played at Metz Park by setting up a temporary wooden boards around the …
