Day 31 : Comstock, Texas to Sanderson, Texas
Thursday April 21, 2022, 89 miles (143 km) – Total so far: 1,909 miles (3,072 km) I slept so soundly last night. But once again I was up before the sun was and we actually left while it was still dark outside. We had an 88 mile J to Sanderson that had very limited services on that stretch. In Del Rio before we left for Comstock last night we stopped and picked up extra food and water for the trip. As we pulled out in the darkness I was dreading the long haul. One thing that was fortunate was the winds were tailwinds so that helped. As we started the night run my front bike light went out because it wasn’t fully charged.
