Season Finale! Results
U12 Tundercats! We had 6 of our Thundercats group out and all raced hard but it was Amelia Brighty who took the overall win. 2nd place was closely fought between Ryan Kegel, Abigail Mayces and Josh Western who were only separated by 1pt! Isla and Evan Bates both did great too in their first race night!
Junior Team Races Lucas Brighty and Seth Holland were the top pair in this event but racing was close as always!
Senior Team Events John and Tracy took the scratch win on the back of a well executed sprint while Alex and Sinead took the points race thanks to solid team work. Both earning some Karbach!
Madison Flying Lap Gabi St Clair managed to launch Tegan Morgan round the track making sure Seth & Lucas didn’t get everything their own way all night to record the fastest junior time while Pam and Tracy set the women’s mark. It was Alex and Sinead who edged out Paul & TJ in the open event in a close race with the top 3 teams being separated by only 0.34s.
Madison Championships Pamela and Paige set the pace in the junior and women’s omnium taking the women’s title with Seth and Lucas winning the junior boys championship and Tegan and Gabi taking the junior girls title.
In the open event John and Said were able to obliterate the field in a dominant display to be crowned champions. Alex and Sinead capped a very successful night for them with a silver and Rob and Edgar used their experience to take bronze. Coach Carl and Christian put in a solid ride to finish 4th ahead of Paul & TJ and junior pair Sebastian and Tad.
Massive kudos to everyone who did the madison races, they take a lot of practice and every team did a great job. A huge thanks to Carl also for the madison clincs!
