Friday October 15, 2021, 30 miles (48 km) – Total so far: 1,388 miles (2,234 km) The day started off as normal, rolling hills in the county side. Maddie had another flat (her 7th) on this trip! We all stopped to help her. Had a pinch flat which is rare, rim liner had slipped. We were warned about a low spot where the water ran over the road. Day 28: layover day in Austin
Saturday October 16, 2021 I had a great day off. Slept in, walked to Denny’s for a real breakfast and to the Texas football stadium. Oklahoma State University, my alma mater, was playing today. Walked through all the crowds to find the ticket booth, very slow. While standing there, an older man asked if I needed tickets. He said he great seats for $75. I was Leary of him but went for it.
