Author: Grace White | www.khou.com
The Waller County District Attorney’s Office is working to reconstruct the scene and asking anyone with video to come forward.
WALLER COUNTY, Texas — The special prosecutor assigned to investigate a cycling crash in Waller County said he’s investigating this as a possible 2nd-degree felony, a step up from simple assault.
“A motor vehicle can be a deadly weapon and if you recklessly cause injury to somebody that’s classified as a 2nd-degree felony," said Warren Diepraam, the special prosecutor who says he’s dedicated his career to traffic safety prosecution. …

Circle Trail critics take their protests to the yards
Lynn Walker | www.timesrecordnews.com
The yard signs that popped up along Lake Shore Drive in Wichita Falls Friday have nothing to do with the upcoming city elections. Instead they’re proclaiming the disapproval by some residents of plans to build a portion of the city’s Circle Trail along the shores of Lake Wichita.
Lake Shore Drive resident Randy Ledford said he and a neighbor are footing the bill for the signs, attrubuted to Lake Shore Drive Advocates. Ledford has been one of the most vocal opponents of the trail plan, claiming it would cut too close to the homes of some property owners. The city owns the shoreline around the lake.
Residents of the street and sympathizers have spoken out at recent City Council meetings, most suggesting the trail instead be routed along the street, which they say is already used by runners and cyclists and has been part of the annual Hotter’N Hell bicycle race. …
A 50-Mile Bike Ride, Longest of 2021 (So Far)
A Dude Abikes | adudeabikes.com

Although it was challenging given my condition(s), it wasn’t so brutal that I was wrecked the next three days. It’s no work of art (well, the Strava map kinda is), but this snippet of dialog from Seinfeld sums it up well: …
