BikeTown owners forge ahead with organizing Tour de Gap bicycle race despite fire

A distinct burnt odor wafted outside BikeTown on Friday morning, more than 24 hours after a fire, along with smoke, heat and water, damaged the interior of the building and its contents.
Owners Kelly and Jim MacDonald were continuing to assess the damage while beginning a move to a vacant space in the next-door strip shopping center. BikeTown is located at 1789 Industrial Blvd.
