Saturday Lucy Park Bike Ride Finds Wichita Falls Back Falling Water
Durango Texas | durangotexas.blogspot.com
My mechanized motion device took me and my bike back to Lucy Park on this next to last Saturday of the 2021 version of June.
My bike and I had a mighty fine, long ride. There was only one jarring moment.
That being my first snake encounter in quite some time. The encounter happened in the backwoods zone of Lucy Park, where the grass is tall and the trees jungle-like. I did not stop to take a picture, instead I reversed course and rolled away. It was a big snake. I only saw about four feet of its tail end. The head end was in the …
BPD hits streets with bike patrol
By Mark Fleming | baytownsun.com
Officers Kenneth Hockless and Macla Aguilera are two of Baytown’s newly certified bicycle patrol officers. The program is new to Baytown police. (Submitted by Baytown Police Department) People attending Juneteenth and Fourth of July events this year will see an unfamiliar sight: Baytown police officer on bicycle patrol.
“The Crime Prevention Unit invested in a handful of police mountain bikes and we recently attended [training] and became certified to ride them,†Assistant Chief Eric Freed said.

I was inspired by your post and biked this today. The blue option is not really doable, unless you want to walk through a bit of bog and mud. Probably not even fun on a mountain bike. The gate at Forest Brook should be pretty easy to hop of closed. pic.twitter.com/38PNPvw7L6

Thousands of cyclists, including a few from Shawnee Trail Cycling Club took over the roads around Italy, Texas this morning to ride. I rode the 100 km (63 miles) route and I kept a good pace and felt strong the whole way. The Texas sun was brutal! pic.twitter.com/6gXoiKOHA2
