Stage 2 of Giro d’Italia Delays Bike Ride
I needed to bike at least 4 miles to make this week a 200+ mile week. After getting home from church I decided to watch the end of Stage 2 of the Giro d’Italia and Stage 5 of Volta ao Algarve before starting today’s bike ride. This meant not beginning until 2:38 PM so I changed the route I thought of riding and rode on “Kingwood Streets”. I biked more than those 4 miles covering 22.12 miles. The week totaled 219.93 miles, the 9th week this year of 200+ miles. Year to date I am at 3,254 miles. I still trail 2020 by 85 miles. I finished the bike ride at 4:23 PM.
For a change I didn’t get lost riding through Royal Brook though I did ride past where I was supposed to turn onto Royal Brook Manor. But I realized my error and backtracked to the turn.
The odometer for my Lynskey R300 turned to 4,016 miles.
A summary of this week’s bike rides. I rode 6 days out of 7 due to rain on Tuesday. The average ride was 36.65 miles long. I drove to Coldspring for the longest ride of the week.
Wind made pedaling hard today even among all of the trees. Weather conditions: start 86 (67% humidity, 73.8 dew point), mostly cloudy, wind S 15 mph gusts 24 mph; finish 83 (70% humidity, 72.1 dew point), mostly cloudy, wind S 9 mph gusts 18 mph.
Strava recorded 4 medals though only 3 show in the image below.
