The town of Flower Mound is requesting residents’ input on the development of a new master plan for trails and bikeways.

The Flower Mound Parks and Recreation Department is in the process of developing a Trails and Bikeways Master Plan, which will serve as a roadmap to guide short and long-range priorities for the trails and bikeways network in Flower Mound over the next 10+ years, according to a town news release.

Township explores bike-walking path connection to Harper’s Landing

Plans for a connector pathway for pedestrians and bicycles linking Harper’s Landing on the east side of Interstate-45 to the main areas of The Woodlands on the west side of the freeway will move forward despite uncertainties over the project.

The Woodlands Township Board of Directors discussed the issue for almost an hour on April 28, hoping to revive the plan that has been on the minds of local leaders and residents since 2016. No action was taken aside from instructing staff to continue to pursue options on the issue.
