Passed Other Cyclists, Overcast Sky Replaced Blue, FM 2100 Loop Bike Ride
I messed around before today’s bike ride or I could’ve started sooner. Maybe the overcast sky affected my speed at getting ready. I started the bike ride at 10:004 AM and finished at 12:18 PM, about the time I started some bike rides this week. I needed 21 miles to make it a 200+ mile week. I rode my usual Saturday route, “Atascocita – FM 2100 – Walden” covering 30.7 miles in 2:11:59. My week now totals 209.7 miles with 644.2 road miles for March. My goal was 600 miles. This is the 4th 200+ mile week out of the last 5. Combining road miles and Zwift miles for March totals 784.59, the highest month since October 2020. This was the 5th time biking this route in 2021.
After the gorgeous weather yesterday an overcast sky moved in but the temperature didn’t go down much. Weather conditions: start 72 (96% humidity, 70.4 dew point), overcast, wind S 9 mph; finish 75 (88% humidity, 71.5 dew point), overcast, wind SE 7 mph. I played it safe wearing shorts, a long sleeve jacket, and a windbreaker jacket. That probably was more than I needed but I didn’t get overheated. Wind was lighter too. Humidity and dew point made for a muggy ride.
The new camera mount arrived yesterday and I used it today for the Drift camera. This setup can move between my Lynskey and Canyon bikes easily. The camera didn’t move around and the sound was decent. The external mic was mounted on the handlebar stem away from the camera. The pink dot covers the internal mic port.
Numerous other cyclists along the route today. I probably would have seen more if I left an hour earlier. Solid power output today after two 40+ mile days in a row.
