I made it—3,014 miles in 58 days. There were a few times I had my doubts, as in the Panhandle town of Booker, where I felt very close to calling it quits. I’ve had some difficult days, but many more great days. Then there were days like those spent in and around Big Bend that were challenging, yet very rewarding.

Austin, Texas, resident Aaron Chamberlain biked more than 3,000 miles around the perimeter of the Lone Star State, with his journey creating an almost perfect depiction of the Texas map, he revealed on Twitter.

Pharr PD Launches Bike Patrol; Hosts Bike Certification

Pharr, Texas – In an effort to provide additional safety and law enforcement presence in our community, the Pharr Police Department has launched a bike patrol. College Station bicyclist killed in crash with truck identified

BRAZOS COUNTY, Texas — The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the College Station man killed in a crash on FM 2154 Wednesday.
Troopers said 39-year-old Tobias Fiedler of College Station was riding his bicycle on FM 2154 Wednesday, about five miles south of College Station when he was hit from behind by a truck. Fiedler died at the scene, according to a report from DPS troopers who responded to the scene. …
