Standing On A Lug Wrench Didn’t Budge It But I Tried
Maybe I won’t have to alter my route to Huffman as long as I thought. On today’s bike ride which began at 11:36 AM I rode the “Atascocita – Walden – FM 2100″ route modified from the ” Atascocita – Walden – Huffman” route to avoid the construction on FM 2100. Today at FM 2100 and Old Atascocita Road a wide swath of asphalt ran south as far as I could. This might mean pavement is not too far away.

With the modified route I biked 32.61 miles boosting my week to 70.15 miles and edging closer to my month’s goal. The cushion now stands at 79 miles.
The warm temperature allowed me to wear a short sleeve jersey with arm sleeves instead of a long sleeve jersey underneath a short sleeve one. I prefer a few more degrees of warmth but in the sun I felt comfortable. Weather at the start and 2:03 PM finish: start 79 (60% humidity, 63.7 dew point), a few clouds, wind E 5 mph. Finish 83 (51% humidity, 62.9 dew point), a few clouds, wind N 13 mph. More wind than yesterday but not enough deter me from averaging 14.4 mph for a portion of the ride.
The PowerPod bike ride data charts show the effort, wind, and more during the ride. I rode my Lynskey R300 bike. Lately there has been a thread on BikeForums.net about the Lynskey R300. It’s been interesting to read what other owners have to say.
