Overcast Sky Hinting of Fall and Normal Power Recording
Out the door with my Canyon Endurace wheels rolling at 11:20 AM on the “Kingwood to Ramsey Road – Huffman” route planning on biking around 37 miles but ending up at 38.83 miles when I finished at 2:28 PM. This puts my week total at 151.4 miles. I needed a few extra miles because Saturday I will not be able to ride as far as I usually do. I plan on another 37 mile ride tomorrow to put me close to 200 miles for the week leaving a few miles for Saturday. Today was the 10th time biking this route in 2020.
Thanks to overcast skies and wind from the north to northeast the temperature never left the 80’s during the bike ride. Maybe fall weather will arrive when it arrives in a few days. On the way to Ramsey Road I battled a headwind but after a short break at the bridge on Ramsey Road the return ride tailwind helped me get back to Kingwood. Weather conditions: 87 (70% humidity, 75.7 dew point), mostly cloudy, wind N 9 mph. Finish 88 (66% humidity, 75 dew point), overcast, wind NE 15 mph. A cool front may arrive Friday night to Saturday morning making arm sleeves for warmth more than sun protection.
Making progress on reaching my 700 mile goal for September.
I need 173 miles to get to my goal. If I average 30 miles per day and ride 10 days the rest of the month I could end up at 827 miles.
Recorded watts appears to be back to normal after changing the setting for the Favero pedals. Below the table shows the average power and max power for rides in September. Notice the shorter bars before I made the change.
