Lighted night bike ride takes place Saturday
The Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department will host the eighth annual Night Rider Family Bike Ride from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Saturday starting at the Rabb House, 151 N. A.W. Grimes Blvd.
The event will be a 6-mile bicycle ride through the Brushy Creek Regional Trail System and includes lighting effects throughout the trail. Glow-in-the-dark attire and flashing lights are encouraged. Per state law, helmets, a front light and rear reflector or light are required.
The cost is $10 per rider for early registration or $15 per rider the day of the race.

Edgewater Park to provide new opportunities for residents

Construction is ongoing at Edgewater Park, a recent endeavor initiated by Harris Country Precinct 4 that aims to provide several amenities to the public as well as flood mitigation efforts.
