Former team physician for USA Cycling offers easy tips to keep kids hydrated

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Record breaking heat in Central Texas means the constant need to stay hydrated, especially children.
Dehydration can lead to dangerous problems such as heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Getting kids to stay hydrated may be more of a challenge, said Dr. Kenneth Adams.
Dr. Adams is the former team physician for the USA Cycling team from 2006-2010, and a dad.
Having years of experience keeping athletes hydrated, Dr. Adams offers parents easy tips to keep kids hydrated this summer.

Bexar County Medical Examiner IDs biker found dead on Salado Creek Greenway

The Bexar Medical Examiner’s Office said the man who was found on a North Side bike trail Wednesday died of natural causes.
Two women were walking on the Salado Creek Greenway around noon, when they came across 55-year-old Mark Jason Bundy on the ground, tangled in a bicycle, officials said. One of the women rushed the mile back to the parking lot at the entrance, near Old Blanco Road, to call for help after Bundy was unresponsive. …
