Johnson County Medical Society sponsors Hard Hats for Little Heads

A group of Santa Fe Elementary School students have received some special safety equipment through the efforts of the Johnson County Medical Society and the Hard Hats for Little Heads project.
Local physicians, in partnership with the Texas Medical Association program, have fitted 100 “little heads†at the campus with bicycle safety helmets. The helmet giveaway took place during Santa Fe’s weekly morning rally.

Parks board approves $27,000 for bike share plan

HARLINGEN — Two-wheeled public transportation in the city has moved a step closer with the Parks and Recreation Department board approving a $27,000 outlay for the Rio Grande Valley BCycle bike-share program.
