Fenced In on Zwift, The Herd’s Thursday Beginner Group Ride (D)
Zwifting indoors today because outside drizzle fell and the 43 to 45 degrees dropped below my tolerance threshold of 60 degrees. I prefer riding in short sleeves rather bundling up.
The Zwift ride started at 12:20 PM but today’s ride took an attentive eye to stay behind the fence/gate at the front. I started off about the middle of the 95 rider group but because the leader kept the pace the fence came close several times and I think I passed 4 or 5 times. I got to the 5 to 8 position a few times. This was one of the easier rides I have done on Zwift but the start time fit my open time. I decided to record the ride to show my work.
The thumbnail shows me in position 11 at the .9 mile point. I fell to the 33rd position and I think as far back as 45th for the first 10 to 15 minutes. Only one big climb today, nothing like Box Hill in yesterday’s ride. Today’s I was in the top 5% of my category; better than yesterday’s 9%. Three personal record today according to Strava.
Friday’s weather forecast repeats today’s with less chance of rain. More Zwifting. I think I will get my subscription worth this month.
