Zwifting Gone Right
The weather turned just like the forecast called for. Until mid-morning it rained lightly as the temperature dropped to around 50 degrees, 10 degrees below my outdoor biking threshold. No sunscreen or long sleeve jersey for today’s bike ride.
I gathered all of the tools to get going on Zwift: phone, water bottle, and clothes. After I dressed I selected a ride on Zwift starting in about 10 minutes. For the first time all of the parts connected and ready at the start. I almost forgot to start up the OBS program to record the ride but had a few minutes and started it as you can see in the video.
One of the things that used to give me trouble was using a fan during the workout. It would be chilly at the start because I had not warmed up yet and then I would get off the bike interrupting the workout to start the fan. I solved that problem. I bought some Wzye smart plugs and plugged the fan into it. Now I can turn on the fan using my phone when I need it.
Today’s 18.98 miles boosted my week total to 143.98 miles, October to 636.15 miles and leaves 64 miles to reach my goal for the month.
