ROBINSON, Texas (KWTX) Chandler Hooper, a Robinson teenager with a rare disorder complicated by chemotherapy is wondering how someone could be cruel enough to steal his only means of transportation.
“He was so upset. He said ‘why do people steal? How could they be mean like that?’†his mother, Courtney said Thursday.

Bicycles, Blues and Brews: Bee Cave, Galleria celebrate trail system

In celebration of Bee Cave’s connectivity plan, the team from the Hill Country Galleria and the city are hosting the inaugural Bicycles, Blues and Brews on Sept. 7.
The event will feature live music, beer tastings from local breweries such as Treaty Oak Distilling, Vista Brewing and Circle Brewing, and local bike vendors including Bicycle Sport Shop Bee Cave and MOD Bikes, which will be on-site to offer test bike rides, conduct demos and talk to guests about bicycle safety. The city’s park staff will also be available to answer questions and showcase the completed and future trails.

Pflugerville librarian wins state innovation award with special reading desks

AUSTIN, Texas — A librarian at Murchison Elementary School used a $5,000 grant to purchase five special reading desks that were attached to bicycle pedals.
Librarian Jennifer Coleman said that there was an immediate impact at Murchison elementary when the bike-desks were introduced.
