Texas Brotherhood Ride will honor first responders killed in line of duty

LUFKIN Texas (KTRE) – A group of firefighters, police officers, and EMS personnel will be taking a 650-mile bicycle trip from Hempstead to Austin as part of the 2019 Texas Brotherhood Ride to honor emergency responders who died in the line of duty.
The ride will start on Saturday, August 17 and end on Aug. 24.
“We’re all first responders – police officers, firefighters, and paramedics,†Tim Dunn, the group’s president, said Friday. “We’re taking this bike ride to honor the first responders who lost their lives in the line of duty last year.â€

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (TNN) – The application is being reviewed for Wichita Falls to be declared a bicycle-friendly community.
Now it’s up to riders in Wichita Falls and those visiting to help decide if the city deserves it.
