Marble Falls extends hike and bike trail

A new sidewalk began to take shape July 25 in the south end of Johnson Park in Marble Falls. The work is adjacent to a new restroom facility at the venue. When completed, the sidewalk will farther extend the hiking and biking trail system which connects to Westside Park.
WOMAN CRITICAL AFTER CRASH ON MORGAN CEMETERY

Just after 11pm a female who was intoxicated was riding her bicycle on Morgan Cemetery near Fostoria Road when she was struck by a vehicle. She was transported to Conroe Regional Trauma Center in critical condition. It was determined she was at fault in the crash.
Alpine PD holding bicycle rodeo

ALPINE, Texas — The Alpine Police Department will be holding a bicycle rodeo on July 31.
From 9 a.m. to noon in the Kokernot Park parking lot, children can come out with their bike and enjoy learning about bicycle safety.
Featured at the event will be a boke safety check, a skills challenge and the chance to learn rules, signals and safety precautions.
Additionally children who attend will receive a free bicycle helmet courtesy of Texas DHS. …

AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) – It’s been more than six-months, since avid cyclist and FOX 7 Austin employee Tony Diaz was hit and killed by a CapMetro bus.
