The first Sunday of every month, Bayou Bikers meet at Market Square for 25 to 40 mile bike rides to explore the bayous of Houston. These rides are open to all comers and riding abilities. Mountain bikes or bikes with fat tires are necessary. This is an informal group whose purpose is to show Houstonians and visits the beauty of Houston’s waterways.

Why no contiguous paved trails?

Austin is suppose to be a "Golden Bike City" yet there are really no loops or even contiguous paved trails for road bikers. It seems to me after looking at the map and the City of Austin Transportation plan of 2014 that there are no plans to tie anything together that forms any trip longer than a few miles??
