Tough day on the bike today. Had a decent start about 11th out of 25 into the trail. About 30 minutes in I crashed in some deep mud and lost some time on the group. I fought back and was probably in like 8th place or so for most of the day but no one in sight in front of me. We went through some super deep mud and slick spots and lost further time sliding all over the place. Didn’t suit my ability very well. Still trucked on and about 35 miles in I burped my tire on a rock and it started losing air to the point where it was rolling on turns and getting super sketch. The course then came out on the road and I rolled back that way. My goal of a top 5 was out the window after my crash and horrible handling in the mud so not too upset about the tire shortening my day. I’ll be back next year if it’s not a total shitshow like today.
