Georgetown hosts Bicycle Master Plan workshop on Oct. 11

The city of Georgetown is seeking input in developing a Bicycle Master Plan, according to a news release Sunday.
The city will host a community workshop from 3-6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11, at the Georgetown Public Library, 402 W. Eighth St., to learn from community members, both cyclists and noncyclists, about existing conditions for cycling as well as types of cycling activity in the city, the release said. …
Highland Village gearing up for TXFallenPD Tribute Event

The 11th Annual TXFallenPD Tribute Event is scheduled for Oct. 20 at The Shops at Highland Village, but more is in the works during the week before that.

12-mile off-road cycling trail opens in National Forest
New bike trails are now open in the Sam Houston National Forest.
The Northwest Cycling Club (NWCC) opened a new 12 mile off-road cycling trail built on a section of the Sam Houston National Forest adjacent to Huntsville State Park, from where it is accessed on Sunday.
