BP MS 150 to take new route through Bastrop Co. this weekend

BASTROP, Texas (KXAN) – Weather will be beautiful this weekend for the BP MS 150 — the bicycle ride from Houston to Austin that raises money for the National MS Society.
On Sunday, April 29, the bikers in the ride will go through a new route in Bastrop County before ending in Austin. The riders will take a route through State Highway 21 in Cedar Creek before taking Farm to Market 973 towards Austin. …

BIG SPRING, TX – Students at Bauer Head Start School brought their tricycles and training-wheel bicycles to school last week for their annual Trike-A-Thon, to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. The event, which encourages students to embrace philanthropy, has raised up to $1,500 in previous years. This year’s totals are still being tallied. Bauer faculty said they appreciate the donations of cash, bikes and helmets used for the event.
